Paradise Interchange is an interchange of the O-Bahn Busway in Adelaide, South Australia, located in the suburb of Paradise, South Australia. With services operated by Adelaide Metro, this interchange is situated mid-way along the O-Bahn Busway, between Tea Tree Plaza Interchange and Klemzig Interchange, six kilometres (3.7 mi) from the city centre. Paradise Interchange has 625 carparks,〔(Paradise Interchange, Adelaide Metro ) Accessed 24 May 2006〕 and is located on the south side of Darley Road, with access roads permitting buses to transfer between local roads and the busway. Construction on Stage 1 of the O-Bahn Busway (City to Paradise Interchange) began in 1983, with Stage 2 (Paradise to Tea Tree Plaza) being given the go ahead in 1986.〔Busway Information, Paper One: Background History of the Northeast Corridor Transportation Proposals, South Australian Department of Transport (1983)〕〔O-Bahn Busway Information (Brochure), South Australian Department of Transport (1987)〕〔Northeast Busway (Brochure), State (South Australia) Transport Authority (1990)〕 Stage 1 opened in 1986,〔 with the extension opened on 20 August 1989.〔
